Giles Hoyt is Professor Emeritus of German and Philanthropic Studies and Director Emeritus of the Max Kade German-American Research and Resource Center, Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis. He earned his B.A. from State University of New York at Binghamton and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. His research interests include early modern German literature and language, German cultural studies, and German-American studies. More information about him is available on his website.
